Just wrapped up an absolutely unbelievable trip to Panafishing Adventure lodge with Willy Wu and Dun Mao. Thank you to the incredible staff, Melissa, Chef Cait, Kris and Dereck Platt, and our captain Eduardo for making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Despite some tough weather and conditions to start we were rewarded with spectacular Roosterfish feeds on topwater in the later half.
Loads of vicious jacks, sierra mackerel, rainbow runners, snappers, and other species were eager to bite jigs and lures as well including a stud Almaco Jack landed by Willy. The elusive Cubera snapper bested our group a couple of times, no stopping the brutes when they’re determined to head to the reef.
Big shout out to Infamous Tackle Co providing the very best jigging and popping gear from 莎美釣具Taiwan SAME Fishing Tackle. Very well suited to the fishing in Panama and a pleasure to fish for five straight days.
